The Texas Museum of Automotive History, located in Fair Park, Dallas, TX, successfully opened as a 501(c)(3) non profit entity on November 20th, 2010. Since then, we have accumulated and created displays for over one hundred cars valued more than $30 million.
Inside the museum you will find antique, classic, muscle, custom, race and movie related automobiles including Chryslers, Chevrolets, Fords, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Lotus, Packards, Porsches and many more on a daily rotating bases.
Automobile racing started in Fair Park in 1901 and culminated with the staging of the United States Formula One race in 1984. The museum provides attendees an overview of the history of the automobile and showcases the inter-development between race cars and commercial cars between 1901 and 1984.
We are working with the City of Dallas, the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Fair Park to achieve our goal of being recognized as one of the top ten automotive museums in the world.
Additionally, we are finalizing the TMAH Restoration factory Program to teach life and work skills to at risk, underprivileged young men and women, aged 15-18, through a museum based "Restoration Factory". The "Restoration Factory" will employ "at risk" youths and will function to educate and provide a career path for selected individuals. Please email stephen@tmah.org to receive a PowerPoint Presentation more fully describing the TMAH Restoration Factory Program
